As far back as her college days, Eressë enjoyed reading and writing stories set in historical times or, better yet, fantasy settings. Indeed, her pen name Eressë (e-res-se) is taken from the elvish language J.R.R. Tolkien created for his fantasy epic The Lord of the Rings, an absolute favorite of hers since way back when. However, a good number of her early efforts turned into homoerotic romances because the male lead characters wound up having more chemistry with each other than the female leads.
Why Eressë wrote them that way she doesn't know. But in any case, this penchant for M/M fantasy romance became the wellspring of her ongoing series Chronicles of Ylandre.
Eressë lives in Southeast Asia with her husband of thirty-plus years, three sons ranging in age from young adult to young professional and one beloved Shih Tzu. A Journalism graduate, she started her writing career as an advertising copywriter and in true romantic fashion, met her husband at work. A professed chocoholic and lover of French, Italian and most of Asia's varied cuisines, Eressë also enjoys cooking and baking and tries her hand at everything from pasta to pastries. But her first love is and always will be writing stories.
